Mortal Online

Many apologies for not gtting the news posted here sooner. I have had some recent computer issues that were preventing me from getting online to bring over the news from the forums. Again, you have my apologies for that. As always, feel free to head over to the forums for the latest and greatest from the Oromëa.

Release Date & Oromëa...

Posted on 16 May, 2010

Mortal Online

Star Vault has announced after a lot of work that they will be releasing Mortal Online on June 9th and that the open beta will be closing this Monday. This is excellent news for all of us that have been following Mortal Online and waiting for a time when wipes would be a thing of the past. Although Mortal Online is close by we are not expecting to be active in game until roughly the start of June, the reason behind this being that the current client has a lot of features disabled and no new features are likely to be released before June.

Once June hits we expect to start logging into Mortal Online again and begin increasing our activity, once more gearing up for release where we will be as active as always and enjoying the game that Star Vault has created for us all. Until then we will be mostly in IRC (irc.stratics.com #Oromea ) and in vent from time to time, chatting as always.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Mortal Online!

A quick update...

Posted on 10 May, 2010

Mortal Online

So no release in March or April, which is obviously a little disappointing.. but we waited a while for Darkfall as well, so nothing new there.

Oromea has not been too active in Mortal Online at the moment, mainly due to rampant duping and the desync issue... I am not too sure which is worse. Either way we have been playing other games while we wait, myself it is NWN2 and others it is a FPS.

Once Mortal Online releases we will of course be there, let there be no doubt there, to carve our place in Nave and most importantly to have fun and build our community.

Mortal Online out this month...

Posted on 15 March, 2010

Mortal Online

Well Mortal Online is releasing this month (March, 2010) and I for one welcome the chance to start up on the server with no more character wipes... building the same character over and over does get a little tiring (tired from a video game... yeah). Mortal Online is looking good at the moment, not polished by any stretch of the imagination... but the potential is there and yes we have all heard that before from a certain other game.

Some of the standout points is the view distance, the speed at making a pvp viable character (yes I mean 90% skilled and not just being able to swing a sword and call it viable like that 'other' game) and a skill cap (which with 1000 points to invest in, I feel is quite balanced). So where does this potential lay? Where is this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Well to me it is in the fact that they have most of the basics sorted for this game and can now just add more content (after they fix this last desync and slight lag issue that has arisen with the patch this week). They can add new spells, new house additions, houses, land mass, etc.

These are the last days of the open beta, if you want to get in and give it a go then now really is the time. Sure this isn't the most solo friendly game, but guilds always have an easier time of it and complaining that they do is just stupid to say so.

So maybe it isn't the best game out there at the moment, but getting in at the ground level and playing will net you some fun.. this is really shaping up to be UO in 3d + more.

Welcome to the Oromëa...

Posted on 11 August, 2009

Mortal Online Well my friends, this is the new page for the Oromëa in Mortal Online. The overall design of the site is complete and I have begun adding content to the various pages. As there is still a lot of information about the clan that is being decided as we go, I will continue to update the pages as the content on them changes and expands.

For now, I have put up some of the basic information that has been decided, such as the structure and governance of the clan, and will continue to add to that over the coming days. In addition to the updates I am making to this page, please feel free to check out the changes that I am making to the other Oromëa pages over the coming days/weeks.

As always, please feel free to provide me with any feedback or suggestions on the site, features you would like to see, content suggestions, etc. I am always willing to listen to suggestions. Either send me a Private Message on the forums or drop me an e-mail.
