| :: Clan Structure |
The Oromëa is comprised of three standing Orders, and two specialty Orders. We feel that this structure will help us maintain our competitive edge in the world of Agon and better equip us to carry out the tasks set forth by Oromë. Below follows the structuring and governing outline of the Oromëa.
- The Mellonea: For those who seek to join the mighty and selective ranks of the Host of Oromë this will be their first step towards achieving that goal. Those applicants who are accepted into our ranks as provisional members will be called Mellon and inducted into this group. While not a true Order, it serves the function of keeping all of our recruits together and helps to guide them on their way of being called Oromëan.
- The Carathrim: Crafters, architects and artisans, who like the legendary Fëanor, with fire of spirit, forged both the artwork and jewelry for which Mirendil is renowned, and the weapons of war for which it is feared. The Host of Oromë would be of little use with out the tools and protection provided by their brothers in the forges. Likewise, the Carathrim sees to it that all who call themself defenders of Mirendil have a home and a hearth to come back to.
- The Dirnaith: The heart of Oromë‘s Host, the shield wall and sword arm of Oromë. The Dirnaith use their natural Mirdain prowess and skill of weapons, along with the tools made by their brethren, to protect the forest from the Onslaught of defilers and to bring Oromë justice down upon his enemies. Be it by sword, spear or magical arts The Dirnaith protect Mirendil and the Mirdain that dwell in it.
- The Celebreth: The Oromëa is a spark in the Darkness, a force that is fighting against untold odds to protect the forests of Agon from Orkish hordes, Mahirim tribes and the accursed Alfar. The Silver Tongues seek to turn that spark into a blazing light that will drown out the Darkness cast by these hordes. The Celebreth use their skills of diplomacy and speech to rouse allies for the Oromëa and to bring the truth of our cause throughout the lands of Agon.
- The Tawarwaith: “The spears of the forest” – Though these brave companions have proven themselves to be worthy of being called Oromëan, for one reason or another, they seek not to be among the heart of Oromë‘s Host. Our Human brethren who have proven worthy of being called Oromëan are among this group, as are others who have bound their lot with ours. More independent than any other Order of the Oromëa, but still bound by the will of Oromë and the Law of the Lathruin.
:: Clan Government |
The Oromëa is governed by the Lathruin council, which is headed by the Aredhel. The Lathruin is comprised of six members who come to serve on the council in 3 ways. The Aredhel, is our most benevolent founder and as such enjoys the position of heading the Lathruin. He, in turn, directly appoints the leaders of the Dirnaith and Carathrim, which serve at his pleasure, and represent the interests of their Orders on the Lathruin. Those groups of the Tawarwaith collectively elect a representative to speak for their interests on the Lathruin.
The final two positions are elected representatives of the clan membership, who speak on behalf of their brothers on the council and serve to bring their issues to the Lathruin. The Ooma Tel’Quessir, or Voice of the People, are elected to serve three month terms on the Lathruin and many serve an unlimited number of consecutive terms, so long as they maintain the confidence of the electorate.
The Lathruin positions are currently held as follows:
Dorundain is Aredhel, Elflord and Founder of The Oromëa. He heads the Lathruin in all matters and holds executive power. He is also Master of Coin and, as head of the Celebreth, Chief Diplomat.
Vadriel Voronwerea is Dauglir, General of The Dirnaith. As commander of Oromë‘s Host it falls to Vadriel to safe-guard Mirendil, the Oromëa holdings and fight the enemies of both wherever they may strike.
Faroth is Cairhir, Supervisor of the Carathrim. Faroth is tasked with the ever-difficult job of keeping the troops well armed and armored as well as building and maintaining the cities of the Oromëa.
Pavlos and Sel’Karim are our currently elected and serving Tel’Quessiri. It falls to them to represent the interests of the membership at large and be their voice on the Lathruin.
The position of Erebhir, Representative of the Tawaraith is currently vacant.
