Valroth, one of our prodigiously talented members, took it upon himself to piece together a video from the scraps of footage and screenshots that are available to us, and did a very fine job of it.
I can’t wait to see what he’ll be able to do with actual in-game footage that we can give him. I look forward to some truly epic battle videos.
We hope that everyone, member or not, had a great Christmas day and exciting New Years Eve!
We here at Oromëa nursed a few headaches of our own, but generally enjoyed the celebrations and are ready to get back to the serious business of gaming once more. (Many of us never stopped!) Drop by the forums and tell everyone how your celebrations went; we are all keen to hear what everyone got up to… yes, yes, we want to hear the good, the bad and even the ugly moments.
We hope that everyone stayed safe and enjoyed themselves… WELCOMEBACK, OROMËA!
Please excuse the downtime on our forums. There is currently a disruption of service because of a faulty hard drive related to the mySQL database. I am told that the datacenter is currently in the process of doing a file check and that everything should be restored shortly.
Update: The issue has now been resolved, thank you for your patience.
As many people may have discovered by now the Oromëa’s forums have been down for most of today. I am truly sorry for this, I have been doing everything possible to fix the situation.
The problem lies at the data center that houses the server that our forums are hosted on. I am told that they were forced to replace some hardware, re-install OS software and are in the process of restoring the data to the server. As of 1:47AM Eastern Standard Time their estimated progress is at about 70%, so hopefully it shouldn’t be much long now.
Again, I am very sorry for any inconveniences this has caused.
As per a suggestion from one of our members I have setup a News Archive of all the articles posted on the site. The archive will only pull articles that have been published since the conversion to the new backend, but it will allow access to every article published since then and far into the future.
Just a small notice that the site has been updated slightly to include information about our newest Order, The Celebreth. There is a quick blurb about it on the Structure page and some more information will be coming forth about all of our Orders in due time.
I have only just realized that 2 out of the 3 pages of our Lore were inaccessible. I applogize for this, and I have since corrected the error. If you are interested in reading up about our clan’s background and Oromë the Hunter, then check out our lore.
I am currently working on integrating our site design into a Content Managment System (CMS) to make things a little bit easier for us around here. I’m not going to be porting over all the old news but I’ll bring over some of the more recent stuff and create an archive file in case anyone really wants to read the old news.
Please bare with me as I still have a ton of work to do to get this working 100%.
