Apologies for the lack of updates since launch. Things have been busy!
The first three months of Darkfall have been a whirlwind of political intrigue, punctuated by betrayals, backstabbings, and forum blowouts. Agon has seen alliances rise to dizzying heights and come crashing back down again.
Check back regularly; I intend to keep this site updated on a daily (or near-daily) basis with our news, accomplishments and tribulations.
We’ve had our first taste of post-release Darkfall. After a (very) rough launch, the servers stayed up long enough today for us to put together the cash to found our clan and claim our city.
For the past month or so, a number of Oromëans have been fortunate enough to participate in Darkfall’s beta test. We claimed a city in Mirendil, we mined and logged until our fingers were falling off to build it up, and we had a lot of fun PvPing. Valroth made a great video which nicely sums up our beta experience:
Now, the hour has finally arrived. The game that some of us have been waiting for for 7 years (or more!) is finally going to see release. It’s time for Darkfall!
Finally, we have a solid idea of when Darkfall is going to be released.
According to Shaar, who attended Aventurine’s presentation in Athens, Darkfall’s open beta period should be finished by the beginning of December, and the official release will follow soon thereafter. Presumably, we’ll have Darkfall on store shelves and in our hands by Christmas.
We’ve been waiting a long, long time for this, and it’s hard to believe that we’re finally this close to release!
In what must be accounted the single most significant milestone in the long wait for Darkfall, today saw the release of an incredible gameplay trailer and the beginning of Darkfall Beta signups.
All members of the community – and especially members of the Oromëa – are encouraged to go immediately and get your beta applications in. It doesn’t matter whether you’re registered as a clan beta participant yet or not. As you’re filling out your application, use Oromea (without the umlaut on the ‘e’, and without a “The” in front) for the clan name.
The Oromëa is happy to announce the arrival of two new Mirdain to our sacred groves: Ikkari and Zaethar. Both have dared our application process and come through with only minimal scarring.
We’re confident that these two new members will further enhance the Oromëa community.
